The purpose of this site is to spread the valuable information source known as "word-of-mouth" on a level never before known in the history of mankind, as a result helping the people of our world to make better decisions about the people they meet and know, in turn making our world a better place for us all.

For those who are unclear on the concept of "word-of-mouth", it simply refers to the process in which people share their experiences and opinions regarding a person or persons with people they know. For example, lets say you have just met a person named "John", but you do not know anything about him. If other people tell you that he is "nice" or "honest", for example, then it is likely that this is true, and so on and so forth. This process works well, but the problem is that it is limited to "the people you know". What if John is new to town or you have moved to a new city, and as a result you don't know people who know him and can share their thoughts and opinions?

The purpose of this website is to expand the concept of "the people you know" to the entire Internet connected world. Word-of-Mouth.Org is a tool for the world to use. We hope it helps!

This site is so simple! Internet users from around the world submit "Word-of-Mouth Reports" regarding people they know. Submitting a report takes no more than five minutes. "Word-of-Mouth Reports" are stored in our database. Users from around the world can search the database and review "Word-of-Mouth Reports". When an interesting report (typically one that is about someone the user knows) is found a user may use our Anonymous Email System to begin to communicate anonymously with the report author and to then share experiences and opinions regarding the report subject.

WORD-OF-MOUTH.ORG USERS ARE ALWAYS 100% ANONYMOUS. When you use our Anonymous Email System we act as an Email Service Provider and send the email to the author on your behalf (since we know the email address of every user). The author can then respond to your inquiry through our Anonymous Email System, and so on and so forth. *Neither party knows the email address of the other unless either party decides to reveal their email address or other contact information in the text of the email.
